SNV is actively present in 32 countries world-wide employing more than 1,500 staff. SNV's geographical work field is divided in five regions:
SNV’s head office is in The Hague, Netherlands. The number of head office staff has gradually reduced, due to a continuous process of decentralisation of our work to the five SNV regions. Currently, the head office has three support units:
- Strategy
- Human Resources
- Finance
In the five regional offices, human resources and finance teams have been established, under the supervision of the Regional Directors. In light of this decentralisation, part of the international recruitment activities have been transferred to the regions as well.
SNV’s structure consists of a Board of Directors that manages the organisation under the guidance of an independent Supervisory Board. The regions are headed by five Regional Directors.
SNV’s Extended Board consist of the Board of Directors, the five Regional Directors and the three Unit Managers at head office. The Extended Board is the highest advisory body to the Board of Directors. This Extended Board meets three to four times per year in order to discuss and advice upon corporate policies. Based on these consultations, the Board of Directors finally decides.
SNV values and complies with national and international standards of good corporate governance.
