Kampala, October 2008 - The first ever Honey Trade Expo in Africa will take place from 22nd to 25th October 2008 at Hotel Africana, Kampala, Uganda.
The Expo is organised by ApiTrade Africa, in collaboration with the Government of Uganda, The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation, National Agricultural Development Organisation and SNV Netherlands Development Organisation.
This inaugural trade and investment event for the honey sector will bring together various African stakeholders to discuss and share knowledge on market access, service provision and best practices. Over 500 delegates including exhibitors of bee products and technologies, researchers, policy makers, honey trade support networks (private, public, NGOs), exporters, importers, development partners and international media will participate in the Expo. Participants will come from Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mozambique, Malawi, Egypt, Zambia, Burundi, South Africa, Cameroon, Sudan, Middle East, and Europe.
The business community, packers and exporters of honey, potential investors, the press, and all stakeholders interested in participating in this event are invited to contact the ApiTrade Africa Coordinating Office at Uganda Export Promotion Board, Conrad Plaza 5th Floor, Plot 22 Entebbe Road, by Friday 17th October 2008.
