To support its teams of advisers in the field, SNV has a support and management staff of some 500. They range from drivers to human resource managers, and from financial analysts to regional directors. Over the years, SNV has prioritised the expansion of national staff in its field teams, achieving a present ratio of around 70 percent.
SNV continues to implement initiatives intended to create an inspiring working environment for its staff and to guide and coach staff in the skills needed to attain the organisation's mission. Key features are trust, inspiration, being connected and being responsible and accountable.
SNV actively encourages more women to take up leadership roles in the organisation. More than half of our regional directors, senior regional staff, board of directors and head office management team are currently women.
A HIV-AIDS Workplace policy has been consolidated in both African regions and is being replicated in Asia, Latin America and the Balkans.
