Rik van Keulen

Before joining SNV Bhutan in March 2011, Rik has worked as a value chain advisor with SNV Nepal for six years. He believes that markets and private sector provide enormous potential to contribute poverty reduction. His wide experience ranges from organic certification, contract farming to marketing of Non-Timber Forest Products. This includes project design and management as well as field experience like facilitation of contractual agreement between producers and buyers. He also brings in climate change adaptation into value chains without losing sight of profitability. Rik has a MSc in Environmental Science from the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands.
