Tshering Choden

Tshering Choden is the regional Governance for Empowerment focal group leader for SNV Asia in addition to being the National governance specialist in SNV Bhutan. Ms. Choden has experience in mainstreaming governance in the sectors of agriculture, forestry, renewable energy, water and sanitation and tourism. Her inputs include: development of Constitution and By-laws for farmers’ groups and Cooperatives; providing leadership and governance trainings to farmers’ groups, government officials, tourism associations and SNV advisors; conducting researches; facilitating several governance meetings and workshops both at the national and regional level (in countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Nepal) ; development of governance and leadership manuals, and development of a social inclusion and accountability proofing tool from SNV Asia.

Ms. Choden also has experience working with the United Nations in the area of Health, Nutrition & Sanitation. Ms. Choden has a MA in Management of Development from University of Turin, Italy.
