SNV is a Netherlands Development Organisation that has been active in development work providing technical assistance since 1965. SNV is also active in twenty-five other developing countries worldwide. The head office of SNV World is located in The Hague, The Netherlands.

SNV has been active in Burkina Faso since 1970. Our volunteers of the 1980s have been replaced by professional advisers in the late 1990s. Today we have our national office based in Ouagadougou and we have a second office in Bobo-Dioulasso. We have about 23 advisers spread over 2 teams, working in the South-West, the Centre and the North of Burkina Faso. Our advisers assist, advice and coach local actors to strenghten their capacity and pursue their own sustainable development. We operate in line with the local government and collaborate with partners to effectively impact our work.
