Cambodia 

SNV has been present in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2005 when the National Biodigester Programme commenced and now operates in eight Southeast provinces. The Pro- Poor Sustainable Tourism Programme started in early 2006 and concentrates on Northeast Cambodia, especially Kratie and Stung Treng Provinces along the Mekong River.

  • Tourism is one of its main income earners: by 2010, Cambodia aims at becoming one of the top destinations for international visitors in Southeast Asia 
  • Its GDP growth was 9.6% in 2007 and is expected to be 10.8% in 2008
  • SNV has 7 full-time staff in Cambodia (4 national and 3 international)   
  • Our work is reaching 10 provinces in 2 regions in the country (Northeast and Southeast Cambodia)
