Cambodia 

SNV has been present in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2005 when the National Biodigester Programme commenced and now operates in eight Southeast provinces. The Pro-Poor Sustainable Tourism Programme started in early 2006 and concentrates on Northeast Cambodia and expanding to include activities around Phnom Penh. With increasing impacts of our interventions, we expand our activities in two more areas: Smallholder Cash Crops and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in 2009.
 
The four programmes provide capacity development services to national and provincial level stakeholders including government, civil society as well as the private sector, with a focus on provincial and district level. Within the experiences and expertise in these four sectors, SNV explores to commence capacity development services in three cross-cutting themes: governance for empowerment, gender equity and social inclusion; value chain development services; and access to finance support all of our interventions.

SNV Advisor Jan Lam has been awarded with the prestigious Chevalier Medal by the Prime Minister of Cambodia for his work as Chief Technical Advisor to the National Biodigester Programme (NBP).
