Together with the European Commission, we pursuit the main objective to increase the revenues of rural communities by the means of the production and export of legal timber from community forest groups.
Our collaboration with the African Development Bank and PriceWater House Coopers allows us to build the capacity of people and institutions in countries of the Congo Basin to manage their forests. This includes helping local communities to find livelihood’ options that are consistent with forest conservation and developing new approaches that will likely bring genuine change and ensure future sustainable forest management
We collaborate with FEICOM both at institutional and operational level to improve access to water through a better governance in Water Sanitation & Hygiene sector in rural areas for about 118 councils.
The implementation of Market Analysis and Development approach developed by FAO combined to the development of value chains approach driven by SNV has strengthened the involvement of rural producers in the value chains of NTFPs (Non-Timber Forest Products) in Cameroon and DRC.
