Colombia

SNV began working in Colombia in 2008, in collaboration with the Colombian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CECODES in Spanish), a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). With an emphasis on advancing Inclusive Business, SNV has since then engaged in a number of projects, including:

• Assessment of Inclusive Business viability between 91 small-scale producers groups and 22 palm oil companies, financed by USAID and FEDEPALMA Colombia
• Publication of the Best Practices Guide for the Implementation of Inclusive Businesses in Oil Palm
• Impact evaluation of an agroforestryproject, funded by CAF
• Design of a public policy instrument to incentivize the private sector to undertake Inclusive Businesses
• Value Chain and Inclusive Business research, funded by the Ford Foundation
• The Bogota Reverse Trade Fair, where exhibitors are the buyers of products and services who display their demands, while the visitors are the potential sellers of the required products and services.
