Our advisers

Our advisors listen, connect, facilitate, analyze, advise, train, mobilize and share knowledge, mobilize and exchange of expertise, knowledge brokering facilitates the development of network services for national and sub-national (public private, civil society) working in different sectors, facilitating multi-stakeholder process at different levels, to catalyze action and joint monitoring and evaluation.
The capacity building services provided by SNV may include:
  1. Various backgrounds;
  2. Coaching sessions;
  3. Financial intermediation;
  4. Effective networking;
  5. Sharing knowledge;
  6. Lobbying and advocacy.
Rather than offer training as a standard product, we mentor and coach our clients. Our advisors pass on their knowledge and experience from different sectors through continual mentoring. Our advice is often about organisational change or how to influence the broader environment. At other times, advice is more technical.
These capacity building services can be provided directly by SNV staff or contractors (consultants, developers of local capacity).

Our advisors are a mix of international and local staff. They bring together innovation and experience from different international settings coupled with in-depth knowledge and understanding of local context. We have a solid track record of providing capacity development services to organisations with proven results in reducing poverty and promoting good governance.
