SNV DRC works in two sectors to fight poverty in the country: 

• Effective, Efficient and Increased Access to, and Delivery of, Basic Services, with a focus on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene 

• Sustainable and Equitable Production, Income and Employment for the Poor, with a focus on Non-Timber Forest Products and on Palm Oil value chains, including biofuel.

Currently there are three portfolios:

• A national Portfolio, based in Kinshasa;
• Equateur Porfolio, based in Mbandaka;
• Bas-Congo Portfolio, based in Matadi.

In November 2007, the Board of Directors decided to fully invest in D.R. Congo as a country program. We foresee raising the number of advisors from 15 to 30, by the end of 2012.
