Ecuador

Ecuador is both a country office and home to the SNV Latin America regional office.  With operations based in Quito, the country portfolio has a strong focus on Inclusive Business, in collaboration with some of the largest Ecuadorian companies; SNV also played a key role in developing the National Policy for Rural Inclusive Business for the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP).

Regional initiatives, such as an 8-country study financed by the Ford Foundation to analyze Inclusive Business and mutual value creation for companies and the BoP segment, as well the Inclusive Business project funded by IDB-MIF, are coordinated from here. Additionally, the SNV Knowledge Institute, a unit dedicated to research on and development of market-based solutions to poverty reduction, is also based in Ecuador.
