Guinea Bissau

SNV has been present in Guinea-Bissau since 1979. During the 30+ years our work has evolved from using a donor approach to a strategy that focuses exclusively in the development of local capacities.

We currently provide services in the Agriculture and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene sectors, as well as working to address Guinea BIssau's specific needs in the area of Governance

With a team of 11 advisors, and an extensive network of local service providers, SNV works with 15 local organisations in the regions of Bafatá, Biombo, Cacheu and Gabu. Embedded in the larger family of SNV in West and East Africa, SNV Guinea-Bissau also benefits from the experiences gathered in 18 sub-Saharan countries.

To develop the market capacity development service market in Guinea Bissau, SNV relies on the experience and expertise of its advisors, who implement working solutions on the ground. To perform better, we are constantly exploring ways to find and upscale solutions that work. We focus on acquiring knowledge through research, evaluation and in-the-field learning.

As always, We Believe in Guinea-Bissau.
