On 17th April 2012, SNV and the CTA-Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on economic and sustainable development in Mozambique.

On Thursday the 5th of April 2012 the Direção Nacional de Aguas (DNA) and SNV signed a memorandum of understanding to improve water service delivery in Mozambique.

The United Nations Foundation brought together a powerful panel made up of members of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves to discuss a way forward for reaching their ambitious goal of 100 million cookstoves by the year 2020.
On November 22, SNV concluded its subsidy agreement for 2012-2015 with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mozambique

SNV started work in Mozambique in 1996 and has since contributed significantly to the country’s decentralisation agenda by improving domestic accountability through support to district and provincial authorities. SNV’s support to these local government structures is well recognised. SNV has also played an important role in the revival of the cashew sector through its support to small scale processing units, including access to Fair Trade markets.

SNV works in the agriculture, water and sanitation and renewable energy sectors.
