SNV seeks to substantially diversify its partnerships and resources to leverage its expertise for increased impact. SNV partners are a mixture of governments, NGOs and the private sector. We engage local capacity builders as partners when we share a broader objective, for example, in developing certain approaches or products or when there is a shared desire to achieve impact and improved governance in a basic services sector or theme. To address the challenges of achieving the Millenium Development Goals it is essential that key actors in the provision of services and policy collaborate closely and maximize on their different strengths and possibilities for influence. SNV therefore plays a major role in catalysing cross-sectoral and high-potential complementary alliances.
