Dr. Rajan Kotru, Forest Products Sector Leader

 Rajan’s over-all duties are comprised of developing and monitoring the effective implementation of the Forest Products strategy, and exploring, developing and monitoring SNV’s strategic partnerships in the Forestry sector. In addition, Rajan is responsible for providing programme advisory support to BISEP-ST – a long standing client of SNV.

Rajan has over 20 years of professional experience in the forestry sector in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation related to Forest sector. Specialisations over the years include watershed management, drinking water, local governance and enterprise development – especially in mountain development context. Rajan has gained extensive experience in the region, having worked in Nepal, Bhutan, India and Pakistan. Rajan received his PhD in Forest Management and Silviculture from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany.
