Rik has been working for SNV since 2005 at the West Portfolio office in Nepalgunj and is currently coordinating the country sector team in developing the strategy and annual sector plan development for the smallholder cash crops sector. Additionally, Rik provides expert content support to all cash crops advisors and is involved in coordinating national level sector partnerships.

Prior to joining SNV, Rik acquired over five years of local experience in Nepal while working with international development organisations.  Rik obtained his Masters in Environmental Sciences from the Wageningen Agriculture University, Netherlands.
