Vijay joined SNV Nepal in May 2007.  As part of the Forest Products sector team, Vijay is responsible for value chain analysis and development of selected non-timber forest products including Kurilo (Asparagus) and Lemon Grass.  Vijay provides advisory services to NTFP networks on effective market linkages, product promotion and institutional development advice for the overall goal of increasing production, income and employement opportunities for the poor.
Prior to joining SNV, Vijay was the Programme manager of Resource and Environment Society – a local NGO – and worked a various projects such as Bamboo Eco housing, gender empowerment and natural resource based livelihood initiatives.

Vijay holds an MSc in Forestry from the Indian Institute of Forest Management and Bachlelors in Communications from Tribhuvan University in Nepal.
