Breaking barriers
Alphosine is the proud owner of the Gender and Biogas Development Company in Rwanda. Her business has grown thanks to the technical and business development support offered by SNV and our local partners. Her life has changed considerably. She is now a busy biogas entrepreneur, creating employment, financing her studies and supporting her family.
Access to clean water and sanitation
Through the Joint Action for Development Forum, SNV, other development organisations and the private sector, have enabled thousands of people to access clean water and improved sanitation facilities.
Enjoy high quality coffee from Rwanda
Eight out of 32 winners of the Rwandan Cup of Excellence Awards in 2011 were SNV beneficiaries. Their high quality coffee was sold during the auctions that attracted buyers from USA, South Korea, Taiwan, South Africa, Japan and the UK.
Rwanda
SNV began its operation is Rwanda in 1980, initially as a volunteer organisation, but more recently as a not-for-profit organisation. SNV works in alignment with Rwanda's development agenda to expand opportunities for socio-economic development. Operations are managed from our office located in Kigali.
