SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is an international not-for-profit development organisation with a global presence in 38 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. SNV started working in Uganda in 1989. Today, SNV has expanded its work in Uganda to 98 districts.

Our Mission

SNV’s mission is grounded in the principle that all people, irrespective of race, class or gender, should have the freedom to pursue their own sustainable development. Finding solutions that address local needs means adopting demand-driven and affordable approaches that are tailored to fit the local context and informed by a robust global knowledge base.

We work hand-in-hand with local communities to create enabling environments that promote lasting solutions to their challenges. Our advisory services are in line with international and Ugandan policies and are tailored for specific organisations and districts.
