How do we work?

SNV Zimbabwe aligns its work with home-grown poverty reduction strategies and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Our work targets and addresses two main areas:

  • Improved Access to Basic services – we support the right to Education, which is the foundation for progress in any society. Our goal is to promote Universal Primary Education with a focus on improved access, quality and relevance.
  • Economic Development - we contribute to the increased production, incomes and employment opportunities for the smallholder farmers through value chain development, investmetn brokering and inclusive business approaches in the horticulture, livestock and oilseed sectors, integrating food security aspects.

SNV Zimbabwe has expert multi-disciplinary advisory teams in two portfolios and a national team in Harare. The advisory teams deploy capacity development services to local organisations in order to improve organisational performance necessary for achieving impact.

We work with local capacity building organisations who in turn provide capacity building services to other local organisations.
