The provision of direct advisory services to local meso-level clients – either by our own advisors or by subcontracted local capacity builders – is SNV’s core business. These services help our clients to grow their capacity to achieve impact and improve governance.
In order to further improve the quality of its advisory services SNV:
- has increased its focus on impact, especially with regard to generating income and employment and providing greater access to basic services;
- continues to align its work to the UN Millennium Development Goals and national development strategies;
- works more and more with ‘constellations of clients’ to effectively deal with the issues in a certain sector or theme;
- has developed and adopted the Triple A-model (analysis, action and assessment) for quality assurance and learning;
- has expanded the result measurement system for its advisory services into the other channels of its operations.
