In East and Southern Africa, SNV has adopted a value chain approach that increasingly engages with private sector and impact investors, with a clear focus on triggering economic development. They remain central players in the regionally selected value chains comprising crops (oilseeds, horticulture, grains and cereals), livestock (including dairy) and non-timber forest products.

SNV in West and Central Africa gives increased attention to marketing and agro-business linkages and governance.
