Ownership and long-term sustainability of development processes is greatly served by strengthening the contribution of the rising numbers of local capacity builders. That’s why SNV works with private, public as well as non-governmental actors and helps to build bridges between them in order to enhance impact and improve governance. We focus on clients that can not purchase the advice needed on the commercial market, but we also work with other clients that are critical to poverty reduction.

Clients of SNV Balkan include government agencies, ministries, and municipalities, associations of municipalities, regional bodies, economic development areas, civil society organisations, and trade associations. Among them are 13 ministries and government agencies, 35 local government structure and the rest (40) is civil society organisations, community-based organisations or private sector organisations.
