SNV works in nine countries in the East and Southern Africa Region: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

There are 262 advisors working across the region in various sectors. Of this group, 32 percent are women with 71 percent being national staff. In addition, the region has 70 support staff working in Strategy, Finance and Human Resources.

There are a total of 27 portfolios spread across the nine countries in the region. The activities of these nine countries are coordinated by the regional office based in Nairobi, Kenya.
