Worku Behonegne, Regional Director
Worku holds a Masters degree in Business Administration in Industrial Policy and Corporate Strategy; a Bachelors of Arts degree in Management of Business Administration; and a diploma in Commerce. Worku joined SNV East and Southern Africa as regional director in January 2006. Before then he worked for SNV in different capacities: country director for SNV Ghana; member of the transition management team responsible for 10 countries in East and Southern Africa (based in Zimbabwe); Regional management advisor for East and Southern Africa (based first in Botswana, later in Zimbabwe); and Program Officer for Integrated Rural Development Programs (Ethiopia). Worku is also the account manager for the corporate partnership with the Fair Trade Labelling Organisation.
Worku is a team player and believes in capacity development to bring tangible and sustainable benefits for the poor. He also believes that SNV has the capacity to forge effective partnerships with like minded organizations, based on trust and respect, which are key values for any genuine partnership.
Country Directors
Ethiopia: Jan Vloet
Jan’s experience in the development sector spans over 25 years, with his career taking him from Latin America, to Africa, the Balkans, and most recently to Asia. He first joined SNV as an advisor in Ethiopia in 1988 and has since held a wide range of positions within the organisation. Jan has headed country programmes in Zimbabwe and Montenegro. More recently, he was the Head of Strategy and Partnerships for the Asia regional programme. He moved to Ethiopia as country director in October 2011.
Jan’s diverse roles and his long experience within the organisation has enabled him to develop a uniquely comprehensive perspective on SNV, our work and our history, with his most recent role spearheading Asia’s transition away from full subsidy making him realise what is possible within SNV’s new context.
He also has a passion for localisation within SNV’s programmes, believing that development should be owned and driven locally, as well as an on-going interest in public policy and the role of government in development.
Kenya: Harm Duiker
Harm holds a BSc in Tropical Forestry. He has 20 years of professional and managerial experience in international development work in the areas of programme design and portfolio management, water and sanitation, natural resource management, resource mobilisation and leadership. He worked in various countries including Cameroon, Niger, Mali and Vietnam.
He joined SNV in 1990 as forestry advisor in West Africa were he was leading external funded forestry and agricultural programs (World Bank, EU and DGIS). In Asia Harm supervised the set-up of a national Biogas program which became one of the flagship programs of Vietnam, this program was awarded with a prestigious international prize. He furthermore initiated the design of different successful programmes in the area of governance, land allocation and tourism and successfully mobilised funding from the Asian Development Bank, EKN and DGIS for those programs. The Government of Vietnam awarded him with a medal of merit for his contribution to the development of Vietnam. Within SNV Asia he was at regional level responsible for SNV Asia’s forestry knowledge network within this capacity he has successfully established partnerships with RECOFT, FAO, WWF and IUCN.
He joined SNV Kenya as a portfolio coordinator in May 2007 having served for six years as portfolio coordinator in SNV Vietnam. In his capacity as portfolio coordinator he is leading a team of 18 advisors and support staff in the North Rift region. The portfolio is supporting a vibrant selection of client constellations around dairy, horticulture, meat, tourism, water and sanitation, and education. At national level he is responsible for the Water and Sanitation sector team, his focus is on product development and partnerships. He successfully established a partnership with UNICEF which included an important resource mobilisation component.
At regional level he is responsible for the strategic development of the Local Capacity Development Facility: an innovative capacity development approach aiming at making the current practice of budget support more responsive towards the sub-national level with a special attention for capacity building. His vision is that SNV will be recognized as one of the main capacity development organisations within the Water and Sanitation sector in Kenya.
Mozambique: Rik Overmars
Rik brings a lot of experience in market based solutions and Inclusive Business approaches to development. Prior to his posting to Mozambique in July 2011, he was Portfolio Coordinator for SNV in Zimbabwe.
Rik’s interests are in innovative development approaches. His expertise includes organizational development, value chain development and private sector development. He played a crucial role in strategy and successful networking an d resource mobilisation, as well as organisational change of the economic development teams in Zimbabwe. One of the successful programs where Rik has been involved in is the Rural Agrodealer programme which is creating shared value for rural farmers, SMEs, wholesale companies, and insurance companies by using an Inclusive Business approach. The programme has generated over 15 million US in grants with substantial resource mobilization for SNV advisory (4.5 million US for 3 years).
Rik holds a Msc in Forestry, and is currently obtaining his Masters in Business Leadership degree with the University of South Africa.
Prior to Zimbabwe, Rik worked in Asia (Indonesia, Philippines) and Latin America (Bolivia, Peru) for over 15 years. His work focused on organizational strengthening, commercialization of agroforestry systems and related industries, sustainable forest management and indigenous people both in advisory positions as well as in a management position.
Rwanda: Erik van Waveren, Acting Country Director
Erik Jan van Waveren, a Dutch national, is an expert in process, programme and project management for poverty reduction, environmental management. He holds PhD in land management, University of the West of England, Bristol, UK; MSc in physical geography, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Before joining SNV in May 2005, he worked with a number of institutions and organisations such as the University of Amsterdam as Research Assistant in Landscape Ecology(1982-1984); International Soil Reference and Information Centre as Land Resources Information Specialist (1984-1986); FAO as Soil Surveyor / Land Resources Database Specialist (1987-1988), FAO as Land Resources Specialist in Yemen (1989 –1992); FAO as Natural Resources Specialist / Land Use Planner in Swaziland (1992-1995), International Institute for Land Reclamation and Improvement as Land Resources Specialist in The Netherlands (1995-1996); Arcadis/Euroconsult as Team Leader for Earth Dam Rehabilitation and Construction Programme (EDF) in Swaziland 1996-2000); DHV Consultants as Team Leader, Environmental Support Project for improved management of the natural resource base in North Wollo Zone in Ethiopia (2000-2002) and Team Leader / Chief Technical Advisor for Sustainable Poverty Alleviation in Kafa Zone Project (SUPAK) in Ethiopia (2002-2004) and he worked as an independent consultant in 2005.
He joined SNV in October 2005 as Senior Advisor NRM /tourism, Northern Portfolio in Ghana. In May 2008 was appointed the Portfolio Coordinator, where he was responsible for the country’s programmes in tourism and health, and as well as being focal person for biogas and solar lighting. Erik moved to SNV Rwanda in April 2010 as Portfolio Coordinator.
Republic of South Sudan: Mizane Yohannes
Mizanekristos Yohannes – call him Mizane – joined SNV in 2011 as country director of South Sudan after many years of informal collaboration in West Africa and Ethiopia. Mizane holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Development from the University of Southern New Hampshire. His knowledge of international development cooperation gained even more depth during his fellowship at Brown University’s World Hunger Programme and at Bread for the World Institute (USA) as a researcher on Bretton Woods Institutions (World Bank and IMF). His research supported campaigns to reform their transparency and participation policies, as well as ‘drop the debt’ that resulted in the HIPC, PRSPs and the global commitments to the MDGs.
In the last two years, he developed the Ethiopian Governance and Transparency Fund project for ODI (UK), whereby he interrogates how government might be held accountable for employment, incomes and living standards through citizens’ engagement in local economic planning.
After more than 10 years of innovative practice in Ghana and Ethiopia, he is excited to witness the birth of the Republic of South Sudan where he believes SNV’s relevance in nation-building will have no bounds.
Tanzania: Hans Heijdra
Hans has a Master’s degree in Rural Development Sociology, with minors in irrigation and non-western agricultural co-operatives and finance. His career in SNV spans 20 years. He has held different positions including Country Director for Nepal, Bolivia and Peru, Coordinator - Amazon program, senior advisor, working on indigenous people issues, and Trajectory Leader in the SNV core team, a temporary body at corporate level that supported the SNV repositioning and change process from 2001 to 2003. As Country Director he has taken up regional roles such as Sponsor Director - Renewable Energy (till 2010), Forest Products (till 2010) and REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation, from 2010) of SNV Asia. He was also the Corporate account manager for SNV-WWF partnership form 2006 to 2009.
Hans’ previous posting was to Nepal where he was country director and also served as Honorary Consul of the Netherlands.
Uganda: Jeannette de Regt
Jeannette holds a Master of Social Science (MSc) degree in Human Geography from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. She has extensive experience in development cooperation with particular expertise in policy making; strategic and operational planning; monitoring and evaluation; human resource development; and leadership and partnership development. Jeannette first worked as a project coordinator for the Netherlands Association of Country Women. She joined SNV in 1993 has since worked in West Africa, The Hague and The Balkans in various capacities including Country Director for Mali/ Niger and Bosnia-Herzegovina/ Montenegro. She moved to Uganda in August 2009 as Country Director.
Zambia: Jean de Matha Ouédraogo
Jean de Matha holds a Masters degree in rural development and engineering with a specific focus on water and forests, a post-university degree in soft water management and fishery and a diploma in environment and Shelia land management systems. He started his career as a researcher in a game ranch specialising in animal nutrition and population. He has given lectures to secondary school students on human and earth science, physics and chemistry. He contributed towards the development of policies in Burkina Faso in the areas of water, halieutic resources, forests and wildlife. As regional director for Region de Boucle du Mouhoun he was responsible for forestry techniques, tourism in the region.
Jean de Matha joined SNV Burkina Faso as a senior advisor in 1997. He then took up the position of programme officer, deputy director and thereafter SNV Burkina Faso programme director. He joined SNV Rwanda in 2006 as Country Director. He is responsible for the region’s renewable energy sector and is also the Corporate Head for Renewable Energy. He moved to Zambia in 2011.
In 2005 Jean de Matha was awarded the Knight of the Burkinabe Order award in recognition of his efforts in the development sector. He has published papers during his career.
Zimbabwe: Lawrence Attipoe
Lawrence holds a bachelors degree in land economy, a masters degree in philosophy and a bachelors degree in law. He is also a Charted Management Accountant (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants,UK) and a Certified Valuation Advisor (CVA) of the International Association of Consultants, Valuers and Analysts (IACVA) in the USA.
He joined SNV in 2004 as a Senior Advisor and started the private sector development programme in Ghana. He later became a Portfolio Coordinator. He moved to Zimbabwe as Country Director in November 2009. He is also the Coordinator of the FLO Partnership.
Prior to joining SNV, Lawrence worked for two years with the Cape Coast Business Advisory Centre of Ghana’s National Board for Small Scale Industries, where he was responsible for developing the entrepreneurial capacity of owners of Small and Medium Enterprises in Ghana’s Central Region. He also spent a considerable amount of time as a Senior Consultant with Spectrum International, a management consulting firm with a focus on supporting growth-oriented private sector initiatives and promoting public private partnerships. While with Spectrum, Larry coordinated the African Telecom Summit, an annual gathering of African Telecom Ministers, policy makers, regulators and operators to review the development of African Telecommunications. He also spent four years coordinating the Ghana Club 100; a listing of Ghana’s top 100 companies and produced the accompanying Magazine.
Larry has a passion for teamwork and enjoys working with people across cultures and disciplines. He strives for excellence and constructively deals with challenges that come his way. He likes to keep all tasks simple and motivates colleagues to give their best.
Regional Office Team
Bert Van Nieuwenhuizen
Bert holds and MBA from the Maastricht School of Management. He has over 24 years experience in the development sector in both advisory and management positions. He joined in 1986 as Business Development Advisor in Botwana. He then seconded to the Botswana Orientation Centre, a national NGO supporting organisation, in 1995 as Director. After a sabbatical, he moved to Tanzania in 1996 as Controller. In 2001, Bert moved to Zimbabwe where he combined his responsibilities as Head of Administration with regional advisory tasks, supporting country management teams in the areas of strategic management, finance and control. In 2002 and 2003 he was a member of the SNV Core Team, supporting the corporate transition process of SNV towards an independent capacity development organisation. He later worked as Senior Economic Advisor in Zimbabwe for small business/enterprise development and value chain development programmes from 2003 to 2005. Bert took up a management position in the Balkans as Regional Controller in 2006. In 2010, he joined the East and Southern Africa Regional Team as Renewable Energy Advisor and is based in Rwanda.
His passion lies with enterprise development business economics and innovation which he eagerly wants to pursue for the development of an impactful One Africa Renewable Energy Programme.
Edward Indiazi, Receptionist
Edward joined SNV in 1997 as a caretaker in the Kenya country office. He has qualifications in electrical installations and is a skilled landscaper. He was responsible for general office maintenance. In 2006, he took up reception duties for the regional and Kenya country offices. He also undertakes logistical assignments for the office.
Erwin Sluijter, Regional Controller
Erwin joined SNV in April 2006. Previously, he worked for Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) in Côte d’Ivoire, South Sudan and Kenya as controller covering both finance and human resources. Prior to that, he was financial consultant for McDonald’s head office in The Netherlands. He also worked for Price Waterhouse in the Netherlands as an audit associate in the international business unit. After three years in the audit practice, he worked one year as a human resource consultant, broadening his administrative outlook.
As controller, Erwin is responsible in general for finance and accounting, compliance and internal control and legal issues. He works together with his team to remain fully compliant with SNV’s rules, regulations and protocols, which has resulted in a full in control statement from the internal audit unit on ESA’s latest management audit. Erwin heads the ESA region’s finance unit, currently comprising nine country controllers, the head of the regional admin centre, three SAP administrators and the regional business analyst. Together they strive to provide the clients of the finance unit with high quality reports and full support on all issues presented to them. Erwin aims to also be of service to head office and at present serves in the steering committee for connectivity and is focal Regional controller for the Managing for Results project.
Felix E.W. ter Heegde, Adviser Domestic Biogas
Felix holds BSc Teacher Qualifications in Automotive Engineering, Diplomas in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and university certificates in Business Administration and Environmental Sciences. He did several short-term training courses on Clean Development Mechanisms, sector and institutional analysis, project management and agricultural engineering.
He joined SNV in 1989 serving in advisory and managerial positions in Africa and Asia. From 1996 onwards he was mainly involved in the formulation, management and capacity development of renewable energy programmes (focusing on domestic biogas, and including solar home systems and improved water mills). Key clients included the AEPC in Nepal, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Vietnam, UNDP and the Prime Minister’s Office in Laos, ASER in Senegal, UNDP and RSPN in Pakistan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and CAMARTEC in Tanzania and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and HIU in Uganda. He joined the SNV Tanzania team in 2009. In 2011, he joined the East and Southern Africa Regional Team as Renewable Energy Advisor and is responsible for the Africa Biogas Partnership Programme.
Guy Dekelver, Senior Advisor, Biogas/RE
Guy holds degrees in Environmental Protection, and International Land and Water Management. He joined SNV in March 2001 as an advisor for Community Based Natural Resources Management in Kenya, providing capacity-building support to meso level organizations and supporting the setup of a Turkana District common natural resources management approach in collaboration with stakeholders. He extended his initial contract to take up extra responsibilities in relation to drought management, ensuring that the strategies of partners and clients take the drought cycle into account.
In January 2005, he joined SNV/Rwanda as a Natural Resources Management advisor. He gradually moved into the renewable energy sector and became a fully-fledged Biogas Advisor, supporting the Rwandan Ministry of Infrastructure in the development of a sustainable, commercially viable and market oriented national domestic biogas sector. In 2010, he joined the East and Southern Africa Regional Office Team. He is responsible for other renewable energy products beyond biogas. Guy is also the regional knowledge network leader for renewable energy.
He has written and contributed to several SNV publications. He enjoys life and dreams of a world where everybody can be free.
Henry Owaga, SAP Administrator
Henry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is finalizing his Certified Public Accounting qualifications.
He joined SNV Finance and Administration in January 2007. He is responsible for reviewing data from the Portfolio Offices and processing Finance and HR information in the system to reflect changes that are useful for decision making.
He has several years experience in the preparation and analysis of management reports, implementing system change, and SAP financial data processing. In addition he has been active as a teacher in a commercial college, a Street Girls Rehabilitation Centre and in Morogoro Tanzania where he tried his hand in an adult-education programme. His experiences both in the office and in the field working with people at all levels have enabled him to acquire great interpersonal skills and developed in him a deep appreciation of every effort made to bring about a more equitable and quality life for the world’s poor populations.
John Ngujiri Makimei, Driver
John is currently undertaking an Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management. He also holds a certificate in Range Management.
He holds over 15 years experience as a driver and logistician. He and has worked for VSF Belgium, AU-IBAR, Area Development Programme and the private sector. He also worked as a farm manager. He joined SNV in 1999 and was stationed in Turkana under the Community Based Animal Health Services programme. He later moved the North Rift and has been with the East and Southern Africa Regional Office since 2006. While with the SNV Community Based Animal Health Services programme and AU/IBAR, John was also involved in field work. He facilitated field visits and distributed veterinary supplies to animal health field workers.
Martin Wanga Anabera, SAP Finance & HR Administrator
Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is undertaking professional qualifications in Accounting. He joined SNV in June 2006 as a SAP Administrator in Finance, handling accounts for Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia. His work mainly involves processing GLSUs(monthly), maintaining master data records and giving any kind of support required by the countries he supports. Previously, Martin worked for Nairobi Bottlers, one of the franchise holders for Coca Cola in Kenya.
Mary Ashila, Office Assistant
Mary holds secretarial qualifications. She joined SNV Kenya in 1991 as an office assistant. Her duties later extended to clerical duties in the accounts office. She is also responsible for managing and purchasing stationery and office consumable. Mary also helps in confirming air tickets, arranging workshop materials and refreshments. In 2006, she took up reception duties for the regional and Kenya country offices in addition to her work as office assistant.
Molly Ayiemba, Regional HR Manager
Molly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Linguistics from University of Nairobi and a MBA from University of Warwick. She is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management, Kenya. She has over eight years in experience as a HR generalist and in general office administration. She has a wealth of experience in directing all aspects of human resources development with particularly strong skills in capacity development of staff and HR consulting for ‘internal clients’. She previously worked for WorldSpace, an international media network organisation and later joined Concern Worldwide, an international non-governmental organisation, in a similar capacity. In both positions, she was charged with the responsibility of driving the Human Resource strategy as well as giving leadership and guidance on all HR issues.
She joined SNV in September, 2006 as Regional HR Advisor. During this time she has helped the HR unit become more visible and responsive to ‘internal clients’. The region has made significant progress in staff learning and development by implementing Advisory Learnig Programme, Introduction to Senior Management, and initiated a leadership and succession learning programme during this period.
She later took up the Regional HRM position in November 2008. Her goal in this position is to ensure that we have the right people on the bus and in the right seats. Her passion is identifying talent and harnessing potential in staff.
Philip Muthungu, SAP Finance & HR Administrator
Philip holds a degree in economics and is also a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He gained wide experience in accounting, banking, investment identification, appraisal and promotion from previous engagements with the banking, industrial and investment sectors.
He joined SNV in June 2006. He is responsible for processing finance and HR data for Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. He ensues that the data reflects a true accurate and complete picture to the persons who depend on this information for decision making.
Roy Van der Drift, Senior Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Officer
Roy holds a PhD in Social Anthropology and Development Sociology. He has accumulated over 20 years of working experience in African countries. He has built up expertise in analysing socio-economic change processes in macro-micro levels of rural African societies. In addition, he has gained research and consultancy experience in rural development, agriculture and food security. He has analytical and advisory skills and expertise in Institutional and Organisational Development and Governance, including the design of strategies for multi stakeholder collaboration at local governance level. Roy has served in various capacities including researcher, university lecturer and research supervisor, consultant, manager and advisor with the Free University of Amsterdam, the State University of Leiden, the Royal Tropical Institute Amsterdam, European commission, UNDP, UNICEF, the National Research institute Guinea-Bissau.
He joined SNV early 2001 as the Western Province Program Officer for SNV Zambia. In 2003, he became a senior advisor in the newly established national team. In April 2008, he joined the Regional Team as the Senior Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Adviser.
Reuben Mawuli Coffie, Senior Regional Advisor, Investments
Coffie holds degrees in Economics, Business Management and International Economic Relations. He joined SNV in November 2007 as a senior advisor in Economic Development in Uganda and located in the Rwenzori Portfolio. In this role, he provided capacity-building support to meso level organisations in the Horticulture sector and facilitating the setup of the Rwenzori Regional Pineapple Multistakeholders Platform. He extended his initial contract to take up the coordination and management of the implementation of the SNV/SEAF Investment initiative under Value Chain Catalyst Fund (VCCF) and other similar initiatives. He has additional responsibilities to develop an investment brokering and advisory practice within East and Southern Africa.
Richard Amponsah Obuobi, Senior Regional Investment Advisor
Richard holds an MSc in Actuarial Science and a BSc in Civil Engineering. He has five (5) years of investment banking experience and has worked on various multi-million dollar projects including energy, healthcare, mining, oil and gas from deal origination to financial closure notably providing corporate finance advisory services to a firm involved in the development 500MW thermal power plant to be constructed in Kpone, Ghana.
In April 2009, he joined SNV/ESA as a Senior Regional Investment Advisor for East and Southern Africa. In this role, he provides technical support and oversees the marketing and pipeline development of investment opportunities in the region, business diagnostics and analysis, financial review, investment design, risk assessment and dissemination of learning to the investment teams at the country levels.
He enjoys reading business and financial articles/books with a passion for continuous personal development.
Ruth Alexander, Administrator
Ruth holds a Diploma in Business Administration. She has over 18 years working experience with non–governmental organisations and the private sector focusing on development and international relations. She has strong skills in administration, guest relations and is an efficient organiser of local and international workshops. She joined SNV in November 1997 as management assistant for Kenya. She moved to the regional office in 2006 in the same capacity. In 2011, Ruth was appointed admnistrator, managing the regional and country office shared secretariat.
Before joining SNV, Ruth worked with a media and advertising firm as the client service assistant/training coordinator. She also worked with a horticultural export firm as Liaison Officer (networking flower growers with the international markets such as Alsmeer and France).
Sabdiyo Dido, Senior Regional Strategy Advisor
Sabdiyo holds an MBA in strategic management and a BSc in agricultural economics. She has over 16 years of development experiences working across international development organisations. Her key expertise areas are agricultural economics and strategic management, with specifics on agricultural business analysis, business strategy, programme cycle management, institutional development, organisational development; change management, gender analysis and mainstreaming; governance and social justice, networking and partnership development, monitoring and evaluation among others.
She joined SNV Kenya in August 2002 as gender & governance advisor, contributed immensely to the SNV transition in Kenya, and successfully facilitated the development of civil society gender and governance institutions, some of which are vibrant and lead on gender and governance issues to date. She quickly rose to PC position and as a manager of a dynamic portfolio team she transformed and nurtured performance of her team, registering notable successes both at the team and programme level.
In January 2010, Sabdiyo took on the position of partnerships and business development advisor for SNV Kenya, negotiating and leveraging funding based relationships for joint realisation of poverty alleviation objectives. In this new role, she has been able to interact with key donors and leverage funding relationships with partners such as FAO, IFAD, DFID, and USAID among others.
Sabdiyo took up the Senior Regional Strategy Advisor position in October 2011. Working closely with other members of the regional team, Country Directors and Knowledge Network Leaders Sabdiyo ensures quality and coherence of the planning, monitoring and evaluation processes in the region as well as of reporting on results and the regional knowledge agenda.
She previously worked for GTZ in various capacities, in agriculture led rural development programme, gaining exposure to working with and creating collaborative relationships between government, private sector, NGOs and CBOs.
Susan Onyango Omondi, Knowledge Management and Communications Officer
Susan holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya.
Her career with SNV started in 2000 in an administrative position. She took up the PR and Communications position for Kenya in 2002 until January 2006 when moved to the regional office as the Regional Knowledge Management and Communications Officer. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the region's knowledge management and communication strategies. Over the years, Susan has honed her skills in online communication, branding, photography, the production of profiling materials and communication training. In addition, she works closely with knowledge networks and the senior strategy advisor to further SNV's knowledge agenda.
Tesfu Ghaber, Regional Head of Administration
Tesfu holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is finalising his Masters degree in International Business Administration. He started his career as an internal auditor for a merchandising company in Ethiopia. He joined SNV in Ethiopia in 1991 as an Administrator. He moved to SNV Kenya in 1999 in the same capacity.
In mid 2006, Tesfu took up the Regional Head of Administration position. He is responsible for management information and financial and non-financial data gathering; managing the Administrative Centre (AC) in the Region; and coordinating financial and administrative processes within the Region. In addition, he advices the Regional Controller, Admin Centre staff and Country administrators on financial and administrative issues and participates in relevant projects and meetings.
Timothy Lilumbi, Logistics Officer
Timothy holds a diploma in Purchasing and Supplies, Stores and Logistics Management. He is one of the oldest members of staff having joined SNV Kenya in 1990. He has risen through the ranks in the logistics department and is now responsible for Kenya, Sudan and the Regional Office. Timothy is in charge of work permits, purchasing, imports and exports, asset management, office maintenance and fleet management. He has also served on the Country Council.
