Connecting people’s capacities

SNV has been active in West and Central Africa for over 40 years. We are well known in the region as a key partner for local authorities and other actors involved in the decentralisation processes. This makes us an interesting partner in the practice areas we focus our efforts on: education, health, energy/biogas, water & sanitation, agriculture including livestock, cotton, forestry and tourism.

We work together with local NGO's who, like SNV, focus on supporting local actors in their fight against poverty. At the same time SNV has strong and fruitful partnerships with a wide array of civil society and private organisations, farmers associations and local governments.
