SNV will be one of Africable's partners joining the Caravan of Integration on the 1st of May. The Caravan will make a three months journey, through numerous African countries, celebrating their fifty years of independence.

Africable is an African TV network which is broadcast across the continent. This important media event will be an opportunity for SNV to reach a broader audience and to present the way we successfully contribute to the reduction of poverty in these countries.

A short TV slot will present the work and accomplishments of our advisors working in nine West and Central African countries. In the 'Guest of the Day' programme, during the 'live' evening show, a SNV leader will be invited to give a real picture of our organisation.

'Fifty years of independence is being celebrated in many African countries... The history of SNV in Africa (born out of a need for international assistance from richer and more developped countries) reflects the African struggle for independence. Over the past 50 years, needs have evolved and development agencies have had to adjust. So has SNV', Regional Director Hans van der Graaf.
