SNV's relationships with donors around the world are central to our work. We collaborate with institutional donors through grants, fees for services and partnerships. We also undertake assignments and receive support for our programmes from trusts, foundations and companies.
Over 50 different donors currently invest in SNV's quality programmes and services globally. We work together with these donors to promote sustainable development and alleviate poverty in the countries where we operate.
Examples of the work we carry out in collaboration with our donors in Asia
include our Sustainable Sanitation and Hygiene for All programme in Bhutan, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, which is currently receiving financial support from both the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Other donors for our work in Asia include the German Ministry for Environment Affairs (BMU), who supports our Renewable Energy and REDD+ programmes in Vietnam.
In Sub-Saharan Africa
, our ambitious Home Grown School Feeding Programme receives financial support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, enabling us to facilitate access for smallholder farmers to procurement for school feeding programmes across 50 districts in Kenya, Ghana and Mali. We also work with DANIDA in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the European Commission and USAID, who supports our work to reduce food insecurity amongst vulnerable rural populations in Burkina Faso.
