SNV will be joining forces with partners WSP and UNICEF to present a side event at the upcoming World Water Week in Stockholm on August 29.
Though the MDG targets for rural sanitation remain by far the largest challenge for the water, sanitation and hygiene sector worldwide, several countries have been making remarkable progress in recent years. Through the side event, experts from SNV, WSP and UNICEF will look at the conditions that have enabled countries to accelerate their sanitation progress, discuss what it takes to achieve progress with equity and examine evidence from impact evaluations of large-scale rural sanitation programmes.
Presenting evidence and results from recent studies and programmes from around the world, the event will aim to inform and stimulate the global dialogue on how to accelerate rural sanitation progress.

Accelerating Access to Rural Sanitation with Equity will take place from 9am-1pm at the Rica Talk Hotel in Stockholm on Wednesday August 29.
