About

With a growing world population, food demand is projected to increase by 70% globally over the next 40 years, challenging food security but also creating opportunities for smallholders. Meanwhile, the need for increased agricultural productivity and equal distribution of assets is both putting pressure on natural resources and on food availability. Due to climate change, higher weather variability could hamper agricultural production. SNV’s key response is to provide smart, market-based solutions through value chain development and innovative business initiatives. We strengthen food security and the environmental sustainability of production through focusing on agricultural policies and innovations which recognise smallholders’ potential. >> Go to SNV's Services in Agriculture

  • To improve food security and living conditions for poor and vulnerable groups;
  • To strengthen the environmental sustainability of agricultural production and meet the challenges of a changing climate.
